The volumes listed below are available in the Archives & Special Collections which collects memoirs and biographies of Mississippians as well as histories and other reference works on Mississippi locales.  Further information and first person accounts of the 1927 flood may also appear in the books and histories of Mississippi cities and counties found along the river.  Conduct keyword searches on the library catalog on a particular city or county.  As you identify significant individuals involved in the disaster, conduct a keyword search in the library catalog for their name and limit the search’s location to Special Collections.
