Edward C. Boynton Collection. Boynton was a Professor of Chemistry, Mineralogy, and Geology at the University of Mississippi from 1856 until 1861 and was an avid photographer. Collection consists of glass plate negatives capturing images of people and places on the UM campus (3 boxes). Smith 1903-1904 (Box 15, Folder 7); correspondence with National Association of Mining Schools Committee of Mines and Mining 1902-1903 (Box 15, Folder 8); and correspondence on the U.S. Geological Survey, 1896-1904 (Box 16, Folder 5) (24 boxes).
John G. Douglas Collection. Correspondence written between 1916 and 1975 related to the life of John G. Douglas while he was a geologist in the field. Most letters are from Douglas to his parents and later his wife while he worked in the oil fields of Venezuela (3 boxes).
James O. Eastland Collection. James O. Eastland served as a U.S. Senator in 1941 and from 1943 to 1978.
