Introduction

This library session will focus on examining a sample research topic and comparing articles that can potentially help with a research paper on that topic. The library activity is designed to help you synthesize disparate online sources as well as help you critically think about how different sources relate to a research question.

How to do a Social Media Audit before a Job Interview

1. Use the worksheet to identify each source's publication, argument or main point, and the evidence used to support the argument.

2. Answer the questions at the bottom of the worksheet using the information you just identified.

How do the arguments relate to each other? Do they support each other? Contradict each other?
How might you use both sources to answer your research question?

Note: You do not need to read every word of each source to answer these questions.
